The Next Generation program is a Foster-Kinship Care initiative. This program offers the Scouting adventure to children in foster and kinship care at no cost. This Initiative pays the membership fee and associated program costs for youth who are foster and kinship care youth. This program is available to youth who are residents of West Virginia. The goal is to build resiliency through character building Scouting programs for youth in foster care and kinship care families.
Girl Scouting is open to girls in grades K-12 and Boy Scouting is open to boys and girls in grades K-12. By joining Scouting, a youth has the opportunity to make friends, have fun and learn important life skills.
